Celebrate Woodridge Parade

2009 Celebrate Woodridge Anniversary Parade

The Rotary Club of Woodridge once again took on a community leadership role to organize the upcoming Celebrate Woodridge Anniversary Parade to celebrate both the Village of Woodridge's 50th and Woodridge Park District's 40th Anniversaries. The parade took place on Memorial Day, May 25th, 2009 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.

The route started at Route 53 and Woodridge Drive proceeded east and south on Woodridge Drive to Janes Avenue and ended at Jefferson Junior High School followed by the Veteran Memorial Service at Memorial Park.

The theme of the Parade was both patriotic in remembrance of Memorial Day and historical in recognizing Woodridge’s wonderful history by celebrating each decade since the Village was established in 1959. Woodridge cherishes all of the organizations, agencies, businesses, schools, churches, and people that have made Woodridge a great place to live, learn, work, and play. We are gratetful for the outstanding support from the Woodridge community for the successful running of the 2009 Celebrate Woodridge Anniversary Parade. We look forward to the next parade in 2014.

If you wish to participate in the parade, please log on to www.celebratewoodridge.com to download the parade application form and parade rule.
